Re: General AI Level

@scrappyusa It's me too.

Last year I was on 80 and for F1-22 I'm currently on 65 to be competitive (top 10 & potential podiums).

I race Career, My Team, 100% everything, No Assists, and use a Wheel in Cockpit View.

I try not to alter the AI level for the different tracks.

I started on 80 and got blown away. Then lowered the AI to 70, but the opposition were making me look like an F2 racer, ...so 65 appears to be just about right for me at the moment.

    Really depends on track for me.   I blame ai inconsistency but If I’m honest to myself I’m just poor on some tracks.

    For instance My team 1st in performance rankings at  Spa I can win with ai on 90-95.  But Hungary I get bullied and beaten by 75-80 ai.   Although since last patch I for the first time beat Ai last to first 50% distance. At Hungary.

    When it comes to Fast tracks with fast corners I find I can and love   dancing  to their tune. But struggle finding my rhythm  on  slow tight technical tracks where the beat keeps changing

    I don’t like to change ai level through the course off a season (except practice always lower it to 60 as for me it’s about setting up how car and feels and not beating targets)

    So last full my team season I completed:  From Australia Onwards my team was 1st in rankings and with 80ai 50% race and one shot qualifying( As you can choose starting tyre No point doing full qualifying and jeopardy off one shot is more off a challenge)

    I got 8 poles and 12 wins.  4 DNF  10ish fastest laps and Button got 12 poles and 7 wins and 9 2nd  place finishes and 1 DNF

    Flashbacks used freely and frequently.  I play single player only I have nothing to prove. So When it benefits me I’ll cheat as the Ai gets use off scripts and cheats to beat us plus game uses scripted weather mechanics.  So it rains when it’s most likely to negatively effect us thereby getting wrapped up in immersion pointless.  As the game design relies on forcing outcomes over randomly organic outcomes

    How do I know this? Last year.   At end off my first my team season: I upload my game save to ps+.   When I go to Monza in my 2nd season the game suffered from corrupt data.  So I hate to delete and reinstall game: and also decided to delete game save and download my ps+ And start from end off first season.  Every race up to Monza. It rained at the same tracks at the same times.  Safety cars came out at the same times with the same drivers  causing accidents(different drivers did get caught up in them) or mechanical failures and not to mention I followed  my previous R&D which all failed and passed at the same time.  Thngs that make you go hmmm.  But at least the game didn’t corrupt again.

    Hi, AI has been “well tuned” with the patch 1.06 if I well remember.

    At the release in GP mode the AI level was “similar” to F1 2021 in my experience, after the tuning there are probably 4-5 points of difference (100+ AI) which are around 8-10 with 100- AI level. Meaning you need to lower that amount to have similar experience against the AI.

    Greetings,

    Nuv
