Re: Given up
I have to say I am not "happy" to read your opinions but I totally agree and have mentioned the same in the last months in several rants 😢
I am just going on the forum to read what has changed and its saddening to see that everything is getting worse / or maybe even a little better but still not enough ...I don´t know how to explain.. I also watched limitless and its great to see that some of the more known gamers are starting to go away from F1 22 .. I also watch DAVE GAMING a lot and he started to play F12017/2018 and so on because he cant play this mess of a game anymore..
I certainly don´t think that ranting and shouting helps (but i do it almost every time). But what I think helps is, if people just stop playing the game.. i know its somehow fictional.. but the only way to give feedback to CM / EA is to not use their current product.
so many people here give great ideas to improve the game, especially content wise.. i have never seen a sports game where the core game content is so thin..and does not improve.. this copy pasting stuff has to stop. We need the developers to put in really a big amount of effort into this game. The price is tooooooo high for this bug-infested-low-level-effort-game. Maybe their just not good enough to put out a good game - i think thats also a very realistic option. Otherwise I can´t explain playing the same content every year with minor to zero improvement and even less content in some iterations... just play NBA2K - its completely microtransaction stuff and thats clearly out of line .. BUT every year there is a lot of new stuff and you can choose to play so many modes and the presentation is just sooo good..and graphics and you also have myteam, mycareer, offline, online, era modes, mygm blablabla... classic stuff and everything a basketball gamer wants and most important the core gaming experience is good..its different every year but its just fun to play most of the time... F1 can really just improve by adding different stuff / ideas from other sports games.. its not that difficult... (except Madden please).
I don´t know the facts about the sales of this game..never looked it up.. but i just think with the general hype of F1 in the last 2 years..and also netflix has a lot to do with it..the player base surely has grown..and you know for a lot of customers F1 21 or F1 22 maybe is the first game..so they don´t have the same feeling as players that played the game for years...and by reducing your efforts (means less hours etc working on the game) you reduce your costs and by increasing your sales because of the popularity of the sport the have better results financial wise...So they surely have improved profit-wise by not doing a lot with the game itself but because of the trending F1-sport (drive to survive etc..)...
We are not talking about a good developed sports game and trying to improve an already great product - i think we are talking about have a good base product / foundation.. we are far away from improving something good...instead we are begging them to give us what a sports game (as a minimum) should be in 2022 for 70 EUROS.
I really would love to get addicted to this game in some ways - but also really think it only gets better if the community as a union stops playing this game and not PRE ORDER next year which is the biggest mistake you can make. Wait for 3-4 weeks for the feedbacks from others and then decide - i just think it needs a very rough downfall for this franchise to re-think their approach and start taking care of our core issues here.
Anyway - keep chatting - cause I´m interested in your ideas.
