That's annoying. I was hoping once I had unlocked them all this might stop ☹️.
F1 life is an example of not knowing your customers. Madden and Fifa has a different base, these things might fly with them. F1 fans are different. I’m not against the lobby idea and being able to customize it but I don’t rando avatars walking around, or a car in my living room. Maybe some F1 art work would tempt me once. I’d rather have better customization of my team pit suits and helmets, staff polos, and caps.
What I really want are realistic liveries, and emblems.

Hate F1 Life and can't stand the popups either. Incredibly annoying. I don't need to be reminded every 5 minutes that I've got "tokens" for something I don't use, let alone if I actually used it.
The only "collectibles feature" I've liked in a racing game was the museum cards in Gran Turismo 5. If there needs to be such a thing to generate extra income (like EA need it...), this would be fun. You'd unlock packs in Podium Pass (again, meh but I'm trying to work with the game design here) or buy extras in the shop. They'd have historic photos from F1 (drivers, teams, historic moments, etc.) with little facts and biographies. You could swap cards with friends or discard unwanted ones for a small amount of pitcoins in return. Each card could have a value and there could be a separate Top Trumps game you could play in multiplayer lobbies while you're waiting for the game to connect. 😉 Just something based around the sport and add an extra dimension to the game, rather than "here's a lamp".
- 3 years ago@s00zster Yeah I’ll have to pass on F1 ultimate team feature. There’s no way I would throw more money on this game when even the core mechanics don’t function properly.

@DinaatioI'm not saying an Ultimate Team thing, screw that. Just cards like in GT5. And as I said in my message "if there needs to be such a thing" and proposing, off the top of my head, something better than lamps and sofas. It shows how corporate it's become that the only idea they could come up with was lamps and sofas, because that's all they can think about. They know nothing about the sport itself.
I rather there was NOTHING like this. Just racing.

I don't hate F1Life I just think it's pointless as it stands and needs more. I have taken a couple of supercars for a drive, but again there's really no point and I never drove one since. I would like the focus to go back to striving to get into F1 over the seasons beginning with adding F3. You have to complete F3 at a competitive level to get into F2. Then have to prove yourself to even be considered for the bottom three F1 teams, unless joining up for a specific academy.
I know this isn't what most people would want in a game right? But it adds a challenge to getting into F1 itself in career mode and would be realistic and you would learn all the other stuff before even stepping into an F1 car. Not only do you need to be competitive in F3 and F2 but win enough points and F1 license points to continue in the game.
Think BIG, in the older versions at the start (before F2 became a thing, and a great idea) your manager could only come up with the bottom teams that showed interest in hiring you, to get to drive in the mid field or top you had to earn it, I would like this brought back. The game has become way too easy, you can choose to drive for Ferrari or Red Bull off the bat which is unrealistic.
Too much of a gimmick now, with a sims4 type gui and meaningless items to spend pitcoin and not enough Icons, liveries, helmets and attire. Custom animations, custom voice overs, a lack of voiced names and a lack of full driver choice for MyTeam, I want to see all the available drivers to choose from, not a default few selected for me. In F1 Manager 22 you have complete acces to view who is who, even if some are not available at that time.
A lot has been done to balance the game, I am loving the F2 right now but if you scrape through 3rd in the F2 championship, you don't get to drive a Ferrari right? You get an offer in a midfield or low field car with a Ferrari engine if you chose to join the academy, same with the other main teams. Do well in your first season, and you could get a seat in that Red car 😉
I just feel the challenge has gone over the years, I mean who would like something like this?
You cannot progress until you have risen in the field in F3 onto F2 to even be offered a seat in the lower, midfield F1 teams. Then have to prove yourself to get an offer in the top 5 to one day, eventually become world champion.

F1 Life is like Braking Point, a feature no one asked for but we got it anyway.
What we do constantly ask for is the return of Classic Cars, also would love classic tracks but Classic Cars are always asked for. Silence from CM. We just get features no one wants. What made them think that F1 fans were saying " What F1 22 needs is the ability to buy a Sofa"
