Re: I've changed my mind about F1 22

@JanKondler Everyone pre ordering the F1 game and expecting a finished product at launch must be new to the F1 series. The game is released yearly. This game needs to be rushed out every year to reach that set in stone release date.

Some people really need to come to grip with the fact that they can't expect this game to release this early in F1 the season and be bug free. If the game would release in 2023 people would complain it's way too late.

I pre ordered the game expecting a bug fest at start, so reading that esports players are detecting bugs doesn't really convince me I need to cancel my pre order.

@DukeOfAntwerp Not only that, but the day one patch will most likely fix most of the bugs that the esport drivers are experiencing. There will always be bugs though of course

Nothing like day one patch exists, they have it in game now.

@JanKondlerWell, my own experience with F1 2019, F1 2020 and F1 2021 is that this thread is blown way out of proportion. They played just fine in my systems on release day.

Last game had a bunch of serious issues in Xbox specially, but all this fuss  is kind the trip. An useless pre order that could very well be made after the review embargo is lifted being canceled over issues experienced by eSports drivers - that very often play on a different build anyway.

@JanKondler SteamDB update pages are not realiable at all. Even if we don't get a day one patch, there is most likely going to be a patch very soon after release

@JanKondler … a discussion of a broken pre Build doesnt help anyone here. Pre Versions are not tested like Release Builds. Chill until the release…

Luckily there are still people like that. First of all the serious problems were caused by the streaming from what I understand, the esports guys were trying to record some content and they had problems like sudden crashes of the game (the game shouldn't be the cause). You are ridiculous when you write I cancel the pre-order just because the game has some bugs. All the games in the world have bugs but I'm sure none of them will ruin the experience. Everyone have a nice chamomile tea

That's a fairly bold statement based on last year but I do hope you're right 🙂.

I can live with the bugs, but still waiting to know if there's the option to force cockpit view for league racing.  If I can get a yes to that, I'll buy.

Ask again tomorrow and there will be people with the game who'll be able to tell you. My Pitcoins are on the answer being 'No' but I'd like to be proved wrong. There is also the HUGE question of how well on-line racing works....

@JanKondler I just received a patch. So it's now certain that the version I will be playing later today will have less bugs than the one reported in the OP.

@JanKondler it almost looks like you are just salty about the game, and the feel of it and blaming the game for it lol

I see an update patch on EA Play Pro, but it won't let you install it.

@jimmarshallI've seen multiple people reporting getting a patch on Steam today.

Current public build on Steam is = EA CC / Review Embargo lifted version. Updated yesterday.

PC is always first with patches (Steam build ID 8980995).

    Enjoy.
