Did you do a clean re-install of the NVIDIA drivers? If not, I recommend getting DDU (Just Google DDU NVIDIA), running that, and doing a full clean install of the drivers. NVIDIA stuff is notorious for leaving stuff behind after updates, that can eventually lead to all sorts of issues, including things like this.
