Another update:
Spoke to another player who had the same issue but in standard Driver Career starting from race 1. Seems like a driver career bug on the whole rather than just real season starts.
This is embarrassing how can this possible happening lol
Did you get an answer yet? It's been happening to me too, for weeks. It sucks, because career mode is my favorite game mode to play and the game is just kind of ruined for me now.

I've not heard anything yet and haven't seen it mentioned in patch notes either so I'm guessing not fixed yet.. I've not tested again for a while either as only played My Team or other games since this issue.
Any update on this, CM/EA?
- @Liaveal I know CM know about the missing drivers as I flagged it to my EA overlords. I’m guessing they have fixed it. As I would imagine there would be multiple threads in the issue: I read all and I have only seen one post about it. So here’s hoping
It's still not fixed, been trying since the new update, it's actually embarrassing how little EA cares
