Setup car so you don’t damage your floor😀 if you manage to damage during qualifying your almost certainly going to damage it during race. Increase ride height the default setup 3-4 is to low for half the tracks
try 4-4 5-4 4-5 5-5
- @ScarDuck14 Guess I was a little late on one of the chicanes and hit a sausage kerb. Nothing I‘m planning on doing in races.
But that doesn’t solve my point: No one fixes the floor in the last minutes of Q3. And there‘s no sense in timing a repair that is longer than the session lasts - ScarDuck143 years agoLegend
At the same time I don’t know off a team that’s sent out a damaged car in qualifying.
Qualifying is obviously a series off push laps. A race being a longer distance increases the likelihood off misjudging corners over a race. I do all the time. So I make sure my car is set up so slight misjudgments don’t damage my car
- @ScarDuck14 Look at Spa last week. The cars were that low that they were ment to hit the track. That's why you've skid blocks. No one retires a car in Q3 with few minutes left because a tiny piece is missing. I had no performance issues and no signs on the MFD.
