Re: Sprint Race events not displaying correctly

Hey @KPV4ever,

thanks for the report so far. As I understood, you always see the opposite weekend structure in the main menu. Have you once tried to go to the weekend and see if it actually has a sprint race included, although it shouldn't?

Might be a displaying issue, but just want to make sure if it actually includes / excludes the sprint race properly.

    @EA_rephiiIf you look at the attachments from DRudd13, their attachment with 588 kb actually answers your question already. There is a screenshot from a French sprint race. The key question is though if DRudd13 chose authentic mode before starting the season. I did, and authentic mode enables sprint races in Imola, Austria and Brazil, if they are chosen to the race calendar (in cases of customised calendars, I use the official full calendar). I haven't tried if there actually would have been a sprint race for me in France as the menu showed. Before starting the French gp, I had restarted the game which wiped out the French sprint.

    So I'm quite sure there is a bug. The screenshots should prove it 🙂

    The problem to me seems to be that the weekend after an authentic sprint weekend also comes up as a sprint race. And I have clicked advance on France after Austria, What happened was, I was doing 25% race on Grand Prix mode. So A full race would be 13 laps at France. And when I went to the race strategy, it showed a 13 lap race with no pit stops. So I started the race, then retired after the first corner. Went to the result screen to see full points had been giving out but no pit stops made. Here are some better quality pictures.

    @KPV4ever Yes, I picked authentic and the official calendar. Just in Grand Prix mode with no practice.

    Hey everyone,

    I passed that on to our team for further investigation. Thanks for your reports so far!

    @EA_rephiiJust answering as you previously asked what actually happens if I proceed to the "sprint race" in the event that actually shouldn't have it. Well. As I reached Brazil in my season drive-through process, I decided to try what happens at Abu Dhabi while proceeding there without restarting the game first (which, as I told before, corrects the event main menu). As I guessed, it showed me a sprint race there even if I was in Authentic mode (which only should enable sprint races in their locations, Imola/Austria/Brazil). As I was driving my season with full race lengths, in Abu Dhabi the "sprint" was also full length. Normal points were awarded, as well as in the "main race". In "sprint race" in Abu Dhabi I had the starting grid presentation but not in the "main race".

    This is still happening on 1.09 in GP mode 25% race short qualifying

    Started a new authentic season in clear conditions as I need to work on race set-ups.

    Get to Imola, and it's showing qualifying, sunny, with just a full race but only 5 laps in mixed conditions rain and sun. So it has even interfered with my settings.

    @EA_rephii

    I started a new authentic career in GP mode with patch 1.10. I can confirm that Imola is displaying properly now as was stated in patch notes (will check others when I get there. But despite having the weather set to clear since the start of the season, It had changed my settings to dynamic. That was the only setting that had changed. I suppose the quickest way to test this yourself would be to start the season with weather set to clear and just retire the first 3 races to see if it changes your settings to.

    Miami displayed correctly after Imola. And Austria displayed correctly and didn't change the weather settings, and also France after that.

    Brazil also displayed correctly and didn't change my settings. And Abu Dhabi displayed correctly after.

    So If you can stop Imola changing the weather settings the sprint races are all displaying correctly.
