Re: Steam Deck Crash report code CKGJ-GPMD-ESRV-BPRG

@57c8f68321dc240f EA/CM Made the game, they pushed to have it verified way before the games release. The game worked fine until the 1.09 update. Yes steam should remove it from verified games for the SD but EA/CM should of tested an update before pushing it out. EA have said that they are working on a fix but with no timeframe. Why would they be working on it if it was valves fault? There is thousands of games verified for SD, F1 2020 works, F1 2019 works. How is it Valves problem? Its up to the devs weather they want it verified or not in the first place. The game has the steam deck button prompts, do you think valve modified the game to show that? Stop tryna defend a * company that only copy and pastes games every year.

  • I already contacted valve about this. This was their response.

The Steam team is aware of the problem with the game and will be working with the developer.
The best place for any further updates will be through the developer themselves in the forum/their game updates.

Got news for you! Downgrade doesnt work on SteamOS if you didnt previously have 1.08 or earlier version installed. And for the other dingleberry chiming in, no it works fine on Windows I am getting 35 FPS and I only had 5 crashes the entire night, that might sound like a lot but I played for 2.5 hours. People just love to hate on EA do you know how much work  goes into laser scanning tracks, cars, and people? Well I bet its a lot. Plus dont forget about all the housing goods they have to design and put in the game so I can get the entire F1 experience. And now they have one more thing to do make it work with Linux thanks to Valve, when they should be adding private jet selection, I mean its a gaming company it cant be that big or worth that much.

Of course you can only downgrade to 1.08 if you had that version previously - you need the code LOL. There are other PC users who are still experiencing the same crash at the same point - the game not completely loading - not just Deck users. It is an issue that has been acknowledged by EA and is being investigated by them. I have no hatred for EA, and indeed have a longstanding love for Codemasters games.

This is so ridiculous, the problem lasts now for nearly a month and still no fix from EA.
