I have the same issue. Contacted EA who said they don’t support ps5 controllers with f1 22. And sugested contacting Sony. 
contacted Sony who said because it only happens in one game it’s an issue with the game and to contact EA. 

makes the game unplayable and pointless. 
should be able to play with the ps5 controller no problem. Seams only wheels are supported by EA
