Re: The two Last laps are like Mario Kart races

@Juju_59320 Couldn't agree more about the AI. I know f1laps is not official, but it's been a good guide over the last couple of years. I've just set an average time of 5 laps at Japan and got 1.31.560 which according to f1 laps is level 90. Around where I finished last year's game on. At the minute, just doing Grand Prix mode with Lando on 75. So went into the race thinking I could win. Qualified 9th behind big 6 and alpine. Finished 7th above the alpine's but 8 seconds behind Russel and 18 behind Max his best lap was the last lap 1.33.857 on 7 lap old mediums. my best lap was 1.35.624 set on 3 lap old soft's at the start. Something is wrong, Just can't work out exactly what it is.

  • This is a big problem since years. And the most annoying is the AI difficulty changes on each track.

I raced at Silverstone last night on F1 2019. Up until the last lap or two I had a good gap over the ai behind, then they were right up behind me racing to the finish line. I think it happened at Monza as well when I raced there a few nights ago. So this “issue” has obviously been around a while.

Yes it has. It was well known that in F1 2019 the AI would turn their engine onto rich mix for the first two and final two laps. They probably save their battery and dump it all in the final laps also.
