Re: Thrustmaster driver update

Hi @EA_rephii ,

I've updated both my T300 base as well as my SF1000 wheel just a few minutes ago and I sadly still cannot see either in game.
As someone with only this wheel and a ps4 controller (which isn't working well at all with this game, i think you've seen the other threads for that). I currently can't really play the game.

Some system info if this helps :
Win10 OS
Base : T300
Wheel : SF1000
Pedals : T3PA (connected directly to the base via the rj cable)

All firmwares and drivers updated today

Some system info if this helps :
    Win11 22H2 (22621.105) OS
    Base : TS-PC firmware v11
    Wheel : F1 (Advanced)
Pedals : Logitech G923 with LeoBodnar USB cable

I don't think people are going to wear the workaround (RJ12 over USB) for long. It needs addressing.

Disconnecting controllers (console pads) during racing is a good idea as stick drift is common and the controller maps to steering. IDK whether this is something console users "accept" - why should the sticks have ANY drift? If they have drift, they are broken or it's a poor design.

Have not updated yet, but will amend this post as have had to forego firmware v12 & v13 as Advanced mode won't stay set, it does on firmware v11, but Thrustmaster seem to think it's 'just me'. Unfortunately, no rims to test but have changed OS, wheel PSU, motherboard (USB ports naturally) and cable, reseated QR for wheel, etc. It's 100% firmware issue for me with Advanced mode. Will see if new firmware is available or changes the v11 vs v12/13 situation. All drivers have been retrospectively tested back to 2020_TTRS_2 with no differences.

    Update:

    ----------

OK so as per the release notes there are no changes to TS-PC firmware and as I am using the LeoBodnar USB pedals there is no change to functionality in Normal or Advanced mode. No improvement in feel however, FFB is missing in menus more noticeably and does not return immediately back in-game. I also have no performance issues with this controller setup via USB pedals but have only webcam and RF keyboard / mouse dongle (and Meta Quest 2) in USB.

    Hey @TeeTohrF1,

just to re-check, did you try the basic wheel add-on from the T300 and also pedals to check if it is caused by the wheel add-on or the pedals at the moment, or are you experiencing the same issue with the default.

Also try NORMAL Mode for the Thrustmaster Control Panel, to see if that does the trick 🙂

  • @EA_rephii I didn't try the T300 basic wheel as I do not have it anymore, and the pedals are the base T300 RS GT pedals so they are also the only ones I own.

I did a full reinstall of all drivers, firmwares etc which ended up working (all ffb features as well as telemetry options work).
This is a bit of an head scratcher to me as I did that previously already which yielded no result.
It could be that a full installation from scratch now works because of the newest drivers / firmwares while the previous ones weren't working even with a installation from scratch.

Side note : I did not have to switch from advanced mode to normal to have my wheel work.

    Hey @TeeTohrF1,

thanks for your update. Let me know if you encounter any future issues, but for now it sounds good that it is fixed for you 🙂

  • @EA_rephii Yes the wheel is now working without any issues as far as I'm aware.
I'm now just hoping for the controller vibrations fix.

    Thanks for the help
