Re: Time Trial in F1 2022

Hi, report code is always there but that doesn't mean you necessarily have a bug, that's just the way you should report the bug in the case it happens 🙂

    This is correct.

@f45a2a676d04fa1a to confirm, was it just the displayed error code that worried you or are you seeing a gameplay problem?

  • I think it was just the code. I guess i don't see anything different in time trial.

However in time trial the game will only record the time i created within track limit.

If i go beyond the track limit it will not save anything.

This is ofcourse kinda logic but the strange thing is that it used to save my personal record wether you stayed in between lines or you did'nt.

That is the only thing different.

Is this something that is known to F1 2022 or not?

    Greetz,

    Peter.

TT leaderboards work as follows, which I know for certain was the same in the two previous games and probably was for many before that.

If you don't currently have a time on the leaderboard and set a time where you exceed track limits this is still saved to the leaderboard. It goes in a section at the bottom of the leaderborad with other invalid lap times, but all are ranked below the slowest valid lap time. If you set a faster time but still exceeding track limits you will be higher in this section of the leaderboard.

When you set a valid lap this will go onto the leaderboard even if it was slower than your fastest invalid time, placed in order with the other valid lap time and higher than all invalid times.

Having put a valid time on the leaderboard, no further invalid lap times will be saved, no matter how fast they are. You will only move further up the leaderboard when you set a faster valid time.

    I hope this makes sense?

Besides a Time Trial lap is registered in the leaderboard only if faster than the "default ghost" which is the lap (delta) you find while running the first lap ever in that track. You can see it if you end the session without completing a lap.

Not that it is an important clarification, the time is very high so it is usually immediately exceeded, but to be precise 🙂

  • Yes, very well explained.

It makes sense so thank you very much.

I'm quite new to the game so somethings did'nt make sense but now they are.

    Thanks again.
