Re: Traction control

Which immediately made me think: are we taking it too serious? 🙌

If the guy who does that for living on daily basis doesn't care that much why would we?

May just be me.  But previous med tc would allow wheel slip and gradually let go. So it was easy to catch and keep car racing the right way.

This year I find once you exceed the amount off torque  med tc can handle. It’s  like driving a 1980 Porsche 911.   Most off which found themselve in a ditch at some point.

    power…  grip… more power… grip… max power spin tree ditch dead😫🤬

Landon said that he felt that medium TC was as close as how the throttle and traction felt in comparison to a real F1 car. If you watch the foot pedal cameras you see can see that Norris modulates the throttle to about half way and then floors it aggressively. I do this on F1 2021 without TC and I tried this with F1 22 on the trial and honestly, I rarely spun. Maybe I'm not the fastest but I am always quite patient with the throttle and really enjoyed F1 22 over the trial period. I only hit 80 AI when I was averaging 95 on F1 2021 but it felt good, had a good time on Suzuka.

I honestly believe you should play the game however you want to play it, you paid for it and it's nobody else's business unless you're cheating in a public game.

On related point, when we had multiple real F1 drivers competing in the virtual GPs at the start of the covid pandemic I believe most if not all of them were using medium TC.I distinctly remember hearing George Russel was whilst he was busy thrashing all the other real drivers.

In game terms I think playing with no-assists should be as close as possible to the real thing, not artificially harder. Although I appreciate it's much easier to say that than to figure out how to achieve this!

Sorry to go on topic 😁 but just an update in hope it helps someone else. I went back to base setups and played around with them and made a break through. Rear toe to minimum. I always ran with it to the right, I was sure that was better, but, having done some testing this 1 thing has transformed to game. I’m so happy as was about to give up with it. I now run on throttle diff higher (70% +)which is given me better speed off the corner without instability. For reference I’m on Spain, season1 in a Williams ie worst car in the game and the difference is amazing
