Re: Why Have Both 'Technical Issues' and 'Bug Reports' Sections?

technical isssues are things that are not bugs but could be user related so input device issues or system/consoles issues  for example if you cant solve them and a staff member says that it may be a bug you would then post a bug report

bug reports are for things which are clearly a bug such as the seperate usb issue at launch causign frame rate issues

a lot of the time you do see bugs getting posted or reported very poorly in nearly every sub forum here

I've obviously read the description and there's a huge grey area for me. If a game update causes a game to crash is this a bug or a technical issue, and more importantly does it really make any difference either way?

Hey, @Ultrasonic_77 Thanks for sharing feedback with the F1 boards. To help clarify there sometimes can be a 'grey area' between the technical and bug boards. This is why CM's may often move or merge threads and post from one board to another.

In general, the technical board is meant to post issues that don't seem widespread, and may possibly be due to a local or networking issue that troubleshooting can assist with to get back in the game.

While the bug boards mainly sever for wider spread issues, or something easily reproducible that you can share information on (platform, issue, steps to repro) for our team to be aware of.

We still have the ability to provide troubleshooting, gather further information, or merge similar posts on either board. So if you unsure of where to post an issue simply go with what seems right and if we need to move it or ask for more information we can.

    Hope this helps!
