Yep, having same issue with F1 2021 and 2022.

Was playing 2021 perfectly last night and then downloaded 2022 for the free weekend and can't use my G920 in either game.

indeed, I have this problem too with my fanatec steering wheel. It is very slow if i connect my steering wheel and works normally if I connect my controller. If my steering wheel is connected almost every button I press is slow and when i finaly reach where I can race in f1 2022 my throttle keeps getting stuck at 100%. If I push at my xbox home button it somtimes takes 15 seconds to just have the pop-up from xbox itself where you can look at your profile etc. Also if i play with controller and then mid racing switch to wheel I can up and down shift for a short moment. so I thought it was the fanatec itself but I then played forza mototrsport 7 and it works perfectly. I had to do a update for F1 2022 today but I dont know if its connected to the problem because F1 2021 doesn't work too and I haven't played f1 2022 for a while so I dont know how long ago this problem occured. I hope that EA can fix this real quick.

Same thing on my Xbox. I called customer support and they said “it’s a known issue and they are working on fixing it, but I’ll have to wait until they do…” ACC works perfect on the Xbox with my Fanatec setup. They need to get on top of this… 

I have this issue aswell it started yesterday and the game  is unplayable I've been screwed over in a league race aswell because of it, every game gets more buggy 

I have the same problem on EA games like F1 22 F1. 2021 and Grid Legends but no on other franchices like forza Horizon Azzeto corsa or wreckfest i have a g923 wheel for xbox when i connect the wheel even my xbox guide doesnt work It Is like the entire system stop working and when i disconnect the wheel It starts to work and load normally they need to fix this 

I've got the same issue with my Fanatec wheel.

The game was fine on Wednesday 19/10/22, the wheel connected to my profile and I went into My Team and raced with no issues.

Then I open the game with the wheel the next day, Thursday 20/10/22 and it takes about 5mins to load the first screen. It then pauses when I try to sign in with the wheel and when it finally does load, all my inputs are lagging. It finally calms down after a few minutes, so I navigate to My Team and load up my game. It works fine all the way up to the car being on track for the formation lap: then it doesn't register any of my inputs to drive the car, it sits still and revs by itself. I then press the pause menu to try to restart the session to see if that's the issue. However it takes about 2mins to load that and then lags when I try to press the restart race button. I then try to open the Xbox menu to exit the game and that also takes 2mins to load. I finally exit the game and quit it, then try it again and the same issue happens again.

I tried going in with just the controller on and it works and the car drives normally, but as soon as I turn my wheel on the car starts driving on its own and not following any of my inputs. When the wheel is off again and it knows the controller is on, it then works fine again.

I've quit the game and loaded it up again, then uninstalled and reinstalled the game, updated all of the drivers for my Fanatec wheel and pedals and the issue still persists.

I decided to test my Fanatec setup on Assetto Corsa Competizione to test if that had an issue, but that worked fine.

The Xbox also does not record any captures when I try to get a recording of the issue.

This is a very annoying issue which could be an impact of the game going free this weekend or a small patch for something else ruining the game, but whatever it is, it needs to be fixed asap as most people don't want to play the game with a controller and it ruins the experience.

Please fix this soon EA!

Guys I’ve been reading all the posts on all the various threads.  A few people have mentioned they are also having a similar  issue with Forza.    Not saying it’s not a issue with the game but may be worth contacting Xbox support.   Don’t think your wheels are a issue as it appears to effecting all wheels.    

But the Game worked perfectely fine before the latest Patch on 20th October and now ive Got the same issues. Before there were no problems at all.

Same problem with my logitech g923 on Xbox One with F1 22 and F1 21. Forza is working fine. We need a fix for this EA! 

If the issue is this game.  A fix won’t be here until  Monday at least. Only way to race without issue is by using controller.   Sorry😔

Great description..  Exact same issues only with TM Italia wheels and Pro pedals.  Completely unplayable for last 3 days!  So frustrating...

Same issue here, xbox one + thrustmaster wheel. Reinstalled game, even reset xbox and checked firmware of the wheel. Only lags EA games when turned on, even Fifa22 is affected. When i unplug the wheel, no issues in any game. Forza Horizon works perfectly, so definitely an EA issue. Hope this is helpful. Mistakes are human, but pleeeeaaaase fix it asap. Thank you! 

I have just experience the "really slow loading" before I thought it might be my ancient xbox one not coping with the game.

This morning I turning the game on and it took 16 mins for it to reach the main menu where I can select the time trial menu.

I'm still going through the process of trying to fix it

yup. same exact issue. the moment i plug in my wheel game becomes unplayable 

Exact same problem, expect I have a Logitech g920. Every other games works fine except for f1 22 when using wheel (haven’t tried f1 2021). FH4 & FH5 works completely fine. This is so frustrating, as it’s one of the few weekends I have to play f1 22 and I can’t because the game is buggy. Please fix this EA!

Worked perfectly fine until 21 October then game does not load throttle sticks at 100% if it does load. Really frustrating to have invested time and money and have it just stop working 

My wheel still works perfectly with Forza 7 and every other non-EA sports game which leads me to believe it's an EA issue.

Exact same thing with me. Was working perfectly fine until this update. Have tried everything to make it work but nothing… hopefully it’s fixed soon!

My issue is exactly the same - my Logitech G920 is unusable with both F12022 and F12021 on the Xbox One.

The issue started immediately after the latest update on Thursday 20th October.

The game is incredibly slow to load, save, communicate with servers, and register inputs. On track, the wheel violently spins to the left or the right as soon as control passes to me in time trial(which makes the car steer in the opposite direction to which the wheel turns, just to add to the fun).

With the wheel connected, all Xbox functionality is impaired even when not in an F1 game.

Same for me. Its really annoying. Maybe it react so slow due the free weekend trail

Same issue here! It’s unbelievable. But perfect marketing for the Us free to play weekend. Embarassing!

The same also with me.

Logitech g920 - Xbox - F1 2021.

Everything was fine before last update Oct 20.

Now even if time to time is possible to start the game, the wheel don't work... 

Really hope that it will be fixed soon...
