Rear tire temps.. help needed

I play on pad on Xbox Series S, no assists.  The handling has never been great on this game but I had gotten the hang of it, until around two weeks ago, and now I randomly get huge spikes in rear tire temp and spin all over the track constantly.  The game has become unplayable.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions I can try to remedy this?  Thank you.

  • @MattJXN Have you made any major changes in your setups in the last 2 weeks?
If not raise your on diff by 5 as you're probably over rotating the car thereby carcass numbers go psycho from sliding.

22.5 front and 21.3 rear is my temp advice for race.

@MattJXN You can try lower rear tire pressure and see how it feels then or you can switch the option for tire temps from "surface and carcass" to "surface only", i heard that helps too.

@Hempyjr Considering what he describes it shouldnt help much to turn it to surface only, "huge spikes" only work on surface temps as carcass works far slower but knowing this game it can still help when only the surface grip is reduced and not surface + carcass.. But yeah lowering the pressure is the best advice, maybe go a bit smoother on throttle too, might be slight wheel spin which heats up the surface more - then you lose some grip, spin the tyres more which gives more heat etc.
  • @MattJXN If you wasn’t already aware. What used to be 2nd gear corners. The meta is to now take them 3rd or 4th, 3rd gear corners 4th-5th etc. will help give you more traction when accelerating out off the corners. Thus helps limit the rears from over heating
