I’ve raced every track infinite amount off times. And some tracks I dominate because I can dance to its rhythm. Other tracks I’m strong in some sectors weaker in others or even just can’t master one particular corner or twisty. And some tracks just hate and have no interest in putting time in on it resulting in me being slow.
I look at the ai in the same way some track they are good other they are bad just like me but as a human I have all the necessary tools to change how I approach and race on tracks
the ai don’t
I find the AI faster in qualy than race, and especially fast in qualifying on street circuits.

Do people still set their AI number based on their teammate?

i base it on my teammate if his pace is 90+ which if doing my team as a newcomer your teammate pace is 70-75.
so I look at drivers pace rating in teams closest to me in the rankings and who ever has highest. I’ll check his laps times on mediums during practice. Last year was always gasley using for every second faster or slower plus or minus 10.
But I have not bothered on this game and won’t until the devs fix the ai and game balance.
Because I don’t think 10ai per second is right anymore:
it’s more like from 50 or 60ai but 10ai = 1.1 second… then every 10 higher increases 1.2… 1.3….1.4 up to a hundred. The. 105 is a second and 110 another second. But it’s impossible to tell for sure at the mo
