In online lobbies it causes carnage when suddenly every car stops. Its inconsistent and doesnt let you go on the throttle when the leader has already gone. It also randomly snaps and when you play on no tc the restarts are impossible.
It's similar in co-op career too. It's so random and unnecessary. Honestly can't work out what it's even attempting to achieve. Sometimes one player gets limited, and not the other. Sometimes both of you do, even though the AI doesn't. I've been limited while trying to catch up the pack from half a lap back; and I've NOT been limited while trying to catch up the pack from half a lap back (and have caught everyone up, no idea what the difference is). My partner hates it because they will be heavily on the throttle, trying to keep up with the AI for the restart, and the limiter will suddenly switch off, sending them into a wall on cold tires (it's especially bad on hard tires), which of course the AI doesn't have to deal with. I've even had moments where it alternates on/off like crazy, but again, no idea why (not like I'm overtaking the AI or something).
They should just do a SC delta
For real. Just give an SC delta or something. Pretend it’s a VSC. just slow everybody down
Yes.. that limiter will ruining these restarts.. why Codemasters even did that? they should removing that restart limiter and they should allowing that player will controling that speed.

I agree. Sometimes I'd like to start the race early as a leader of pack but gamer doesn't allow it.
No reason for me to start on finish straight when I can gain extra tenth or two in last corner due to better setup, especially when cars behind me are significantly faster.
