[Request] My Team Mode Round 1 Voicelines
Dear devs,
if you're reading this, I already started a My Team Career. However, it lacks a crucial thing that F1 2020 had, which is a unique voiceline sequence in Round 1 of the Career.
If you are going to create something like that for a future update, here's what I came up with for the English language:
- "Can Mercedes start their push for their ninth consecutive Double World Championship with a race win? Or can Ferrari and Red Bull gain an early advantage? And how quick can the new team gain a good spot among the 22 cars in the field? There's a lot to discuss, Anthony, and it's great to be here again."
- "Indeed, it's been a long winter, and it's nice to be back. I think we will see the usual suspects fight for the lead, but like every start to a season, there are the one and the other starting problems, and whoever can manage them best, will have the edge here today."
- "Now, I have briefly touched on the topic that we have 11 teams this season, and the new team has - believe it or not - an owner, who also is a driver. An owner/driver in one person has not been in the sport since Héctor Rebaque, and that was more than 40 years back. So how's the new team doing so far?"
And dependent on if one of your cars managed to get into Q2, Anthony would say one of those things:
- Q2: "Well, it's hard to believe that such a small organisation can survive in the merciless world of Formula 1. Yet still they're here, ready for their first race, and they look surprisingly strong! However, there are no points to get in Qualifying, so let's see how they will do in the Grand Prix itself."
- No Q2: "They still have to get their head in the game and find some more sponsors, but once they did, we can expect them to start pushing for a point or two in the future. But let's see what this new team is capable of in the race."
It would be really cool, as this is what makes My Team so unique and interesting. I always loved the sequence when I started the first race in F1 2020 My Team back in the day.
And by the way, may I remind you that the commentator still says that it's 2021 in Driver Career? So is Verstappen a "champion" or what? Please correct that if you can.
- Nico
