So Short question: How do Engine sounds get recorded?

@Maxlvlreal Id be surprised if its actually just a recording of engine sounds.. I would guess its all synthesized sounds as getting a good Microphone next to the engine at 300 kph would hurt every audio engineer haha
They should learn from Kunos how to do sounds because this is horrible.
- @Neomo Its not Kunos its different modders and they are not always closer.. Ferrari is a bad one for Codemasters and quite a lot better done by the Assetto Corsa modders but Red Bull is actually better done by Codemasters..
They all have a micro microphone near the exhaust it’s a compulsory thing they have to have.
muts not quite the right sound hence why it sounds slightly different to outside noise due to the microphone being inside the bodywork for aero.

- @issueskid13 In that case id be more interested in how you go on from that point.. Just recording it and programming a playback of certain audiosegments at given action (e.g. rpm+gear)?
