But who the hell thought that the following is realistic?Ferrari best engine power and reliabilityMercedes and Red Bull same power but Red Bull worst reliability (ok the reliability is understandable)Renault by far the worst engine power wise and barely better reliability than Red Bull.I mean its the same gap ingame from Merc to Renault as Honda to Renault in F1 2021 yet somehow with now rear end Alonso did a better last sector than Vettel in qualifying Baku..Either the one doing this should pay more attention to whats actually happening IRL or should stop to try make a super engine and a really bad engine to have choices to make for the player.. This will ruin the pecking order again just like last year when the Alpine would start worse because the engine was much worse in MyTeam than IRL

Some money being paid is what i expect too, then let us at least change it ingame and not hardcode it..The Ferrari reliability is at least understandable as the build was probably finished by the time Spain GP happened and till then they were really reliable. But having Merc equal engine power to RB and Renault far worse? WTF

tbf i think they could just make it like with driver ratings where they ask you if you want the updates to affect your career save

It's based on Bahrain. Calm down dude. They will most likely update it either for release or the day 1 patch like previously.

@Meza994 Big bosses at Ferrari won't let their engine in the game be somewhat unreliable. The same happened on F1 2020 when Ferrari was not at the bottom level enough.

@Patteyh Even in Bahrain it was obvious that Merc are not on RB level and Alpine had at least equal engine to Merc.. Going off of experience they wont change it, thats the problem, they didnt even change it for F1 2020 when Ferrari had the worst engine.. Ferrari engine in MyTeam was the best..

the reason it never got changed for my team in 2020 was becasue of how late the performance update came and to not impact players who were already mid season or even multiple seasons into the career, they nerfed the drivers who drove for ferrari instead

@cearp8858 They changed the Ferrari car performance though, same problem.. They didnt nerf the Ferrari drivers, look at the ratings they have. They nerfed the Ferrari car performance which also influenced careermodes massively

@cearp8858 Ok i can understand the part of not disturbing ongoing careermodes but like this they made any new careermodes very unrealistic..

I have big doubts about any changes as Codemasters tend to not change the performances a lot, only minor changes postlaunch ever but we will see.

@Meza994 I agree. Now, Renault is the best engine in power (at least, Alpine have the best max speed) but the chassis is terrible. Ferrari is the worst engine in reliability. Red Bull had just problem with peripheral devices.

And of course, even with patches, the engine stats won't change because it could broke the career already started so we will have a strange balance as every year.
