Spinning out on starts with TC on Medium or Off - Any tips?

I've seen a lot of people struggle with race starts. What are your settings for wheel or controller. How much rpm do you do? And do you run assists for this.

I personally feel I could run the cars at TC off and play and learn the new model gradually, a challenge, but manageable. But the starts really * me every time, and the slightest throttle input spinned me out totally. And I've heard complaints about this from others, but I also see some don't talk about it - or say it's not a problem for them.

So here's why, I want to know: how are you coping? What tips do you have both for controller users & wheel users.
Please post your settings, or if you have a channel/blog, post your tutorials!

Although not the best solution but try increasing throttle linearity to 100 can reduce a little bit the start problem and not losing power with TC on.

yeah agree that the start in F22 is absolutely a mess. This needs to be fixed.

I love challenge but not to that point.

@Ultrasonic_77then why offer the option. That is just stupid game design lol.

Have you actually checked the tyre temperatures yet? Best check I'm actually right in my guess first. If I am then I've given you a way to improve your race starts if you choose to. You can also report this as a 'bug' in the relevant section and see what happens. My hunch is you'll be told it's 'by design' but maybe not and it will get addressed.

Ok, linearity did the trick, exept the start and very very very slow corners exit, like first Monza chicane, i'm ok even witout tc

and i have to say.... while racing, in race, even with ai.... sometimes you start forghetting is a fucxxing symcade came... and holy * it feals real.
    Waaa can't stop playing

  • @Artax04 You’re right for the start (this needs to be fixed) but for exiting corners, you have to find the sweet spot between being slow on corner exit and instantly spinning.
Mine is 25%. For Barhain, I’m now 0.5 sec quicker.
  • @LeRenard242 I’m on controller on no traction. Go full throttle then release and gradually bring the the throttle up to full. It’s given me better starts than 107 AI
