I miss the days when not only did you have to the do Young Driver Program (as mentioned above) but that you also had teams approach you with an email offer to drive for them, and you would have a really fun dilemma of deciding whether to take the offer or not.
I'd rather have that than being able to approach any team you want. I was able to jump from Williams to Ferrari after one season in F1 2021 and I regretted it soon afterwards, felt wrong and ruined the save.
I've only completed 5 races in F1 22 Driver Career, when you start it specifically says "EARN CONTRACTS" but I'm assuming that nothing's actually changed, you can still pick anyone you want and approach them. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'll be delighted if they've brought back team offers.
Back in the old days on f1 championship addition. You used to have to tryout for a bottom 2 team and Williams at the time mid iirc. And depending on your time you either got 1st, 2nd or even 3rd driver and have to compete with 2nd driver throughout the season to prove you was worthy. Those were the days aye @Meza994 😂😀
- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@ScarDuck14 Yeah but it shouldnt be forced on the player, something like that would be amazing as an option, being 3rd driver doing occasional F1 practice and otherwise F2 season with some nice integration would be great but again forcing such stuff is just tooo much imo

@Meza994 Totally agree. We own the game we should be able to play it anyway we want. But did enjoy the challenge off fighting for my place. That said if I failed my initial tryout and only made 3rd driver. My ps3 would for some reason make my game restart🤷♂️ Don’t know how🙄👍
