And friend and I are having the same issue on the PC version of the game (EA Play Pro on Origin)
I can't seem to find a way to download the ps4 version on the PS5, so I don't think it's possible for us to both be on the ps4 version, however, we just tried switching consoles, so that I'm on the PS5 and he is on the ps4 and the result is the same. I'm still stuck on a black screen where it says "waiting for players", and he is on the screen where he sits by his computer.

i have the problem too, however i'm on pc, it also doesn't matterif i am the host or not. My screen will just keep loading.
Is there a solution to this?
