We all know that assists slow you down, now I personally don't have ton of time to learn how to play without TC, I have all the assists off but excluding TC which I have on full, so its my only assist.I was wondering what is the cap level for someone using TC?In Time trial my times are comparable to around 90-100 AI on most tracks ( not all ) when I calculate it on ai level track calculator with my times.However we all know time trial you have the best conditions + ERS on, during races on most tracks at the moment I can hang with about 75 AI if I drive very good, that is somewhat where the cap seems to be at the moment, how much higher is it possible to go? Is it possible to compete with 90 AI or 100 AI with TC on in races?

In all other Codemasters F1 games I used auto gears, when I got this game I quickly realized auto gears with full TC was a no go, my grandmother could run faster. So I started to learn manual gears with no TC, what a night mare that was, I just had to touch the throttle and I was into the fence, so now I am learning manual gears with medium TC and it's still somewhat of a nightmare, I cannot have any confidence in corner exits, as well as that the enjoyment is rapidly dwindling for me, I am facing backward even in 7th gear....But I know it can be mastered:Otis Lawrence AKA (FRAELITE45)Canada 1.09Monza 1.18Spa 1.41Austria 1.03Bahrain 1.27Aust. 1.16To name a few, but I am at a loss how to get anywhere near these times, if I were to race him he would lap me every 8 laps.....now I am crying......................lolI really wish EA would stabilize the back end somewhat, after all, it is a game we are supposed to enjoy, we are not training to be F1 drivers...we are mere mortals after all.

@Antic3To much steering angle…. Change max steering rotation to 400Ish and if you can get a extender stick for your left stick. I recommend a Short to med rise oneand stay away from the inside kerb

Carcass and surface some tracks ai will destroy you sub 80ai.

I have to use auto gears and med TC and on a couple off tracks I can beat ai 100. But with flashbacks.
Just remember if using manual gears the meta is to stay in higher gears. What were 2nd gear corners are now 4th gear

But those tracks are ones that I love Spa, Portugal, Silverstone, France fast flowing tracks

If you can use manuel gears it cant take that long to adapt to no TC.

That's not universally true. Even the very best drivers could probably be faster with ABS than not. For many other drivers, including myself, I'm pretty confident I could be faster if I switched TC to medium rather than off too. On some tracks I may even benefit from having the racing line on too.

@Antic3 Just a question how are you spinning out in 7th gear?
This seems over and above to me and suggest a set up issue unless your hitting a curb.

Carass and surface, what do you mean, if you use this setting you are slower?

With auto gears you are way slower? Are you sure? I was watching some youtube videos where they tested how much you are slower with assists and with manual or auto gears the difference was the least.

@TigerAlen410 ofcourse i can. However I may not make much sense whilst elaborating 😂
The ai now have their tyre temps set to 92 degrees. Optimal temps. Human players if having the temp settings to carcass and surface. Means you have to manage your tyre temps to stop them from overheating or being to hot and cold in wet races. If you turn off carcass temps you don’t have to worry so especially on some tracks. you can munch better compete with the ai. As your pretty much on a level playing field.

As for manual gears.. using higher gears such as 4th in 2nd gear corners is now the meta… auto gears still select 2nd gear for 2nd gear corners.

Using higher gears give you better traction accelerating out off slow to mid corners… more traction you have the lessens the amount and length off time full tc is active. TC reduces masses off power to the wheels which slows you down massively.

Manual gears also makes it much easier to drive without TC, again by being able to use higher gears/short shift. I also think it's far more satisfying and immersive using manual gears. I just feel far more involved in the driving process.
