The ERS, DRS and Slipstream balance shouldn’t be changed

In F1 22 you have to work a bit harder for to do overtakes which is much better than previous games where it was extremely easy to overtake. In older games as soon you opened the drs you were nearly always going to make the overtake unless the guy in front ran much less wings than you and even with much higher wings you would still make the overtake a lot of the time.

F1 22 game has managed to be more like real life f1 where cars can struggle to make the overtake and can take multiple of laps to pull of the overtake. If we look at Sainz vs Verstappen in the last laps of Canada race we see Sainz not able to overtake verstappen whilst being in the drs for multiple laps and in similar paced cars. If that situation happened happened in the previous games then Sainz would of blasted past with the DRS.In F1 22 we actually can have have similar paced cars not swapping after every drs straight

To the people who are complaining about not being able to overtake the AI, they need to either do better exits out of corners themselves of  lower their AI level so that they can have a better exit out of corners than the AI

@SomaticCoast375 You do know that your example is not a good one? Red Bull having great top speed, Sainz running higher wing costing top speed and Canada not being a very long straight? Not gonna argue with the topic of the post but the problems with overtaking are not due to ERS, DRS or Slipstream IRL
  • Iim currently do mid team my team and not have any problems with overtaking. But  more than a few times when I’ve found myself punching above my weight and feeling pretty good about myself.   Only to then get A Ferrari ,  Red bull or Mercedes behind me get DRS  eat up any lead  I  had and just as I’m  thinking I’ve made it  a get dived bombed from way way way back😃😂

@Meza994 Sainz using much higher wings aids my point more. In f1 22 like real life you will struggle to overtake a car with much lower wings whilst in F1 2021 it wouldn’t matter much if the car in front has lower wings because you would will still be able to make the overtake on a drs straight a lot of the time

@ScarDuck14Yh in my team I’m like the 4th slowest car but still can do overtakes but it’s harder than last game which is a good thing
