The usual 'Car stuck in Neutral' Bug you have had since 2020...

Please send me an FTP url I can upload my save to. No one who isnt a Cpp or Ego developer is going to be able to replicate it because it happens randomly. Do you expect pre-teens/ casual console gamers to violate T&Cs, attach a debugger to your executable and then poke through your code to see whats going on?

Mine was caused by crashing in the wet and restarting Baku F2 feature race 3-4 times.

I don't know how your programming works but it should be possible to test the car's inputs as you are loading everything in. Impossible to play now as I would have to launch into neutral then shift up as everyone leaves me on the grid. Restarting game and PC do not help. This is not user error as the error has not happened to me over 200 hours into F1 2018.

@rnorigtest4 also your keyboard preset one has the upshift and clutch mapped to the same key, which could be contributing factor, tho unmapping has no effect on my bug PLEASE FIX.

The fix in the thread works. I unmapped keyboard preset 1, to alleviate my suspicions of it. No effect,
clutch was mapped to other buttons to no effect

Clutch then mapped to fanatec v3 clutch pedal which then caused the first gear to be engaged at starts.

this also automatically reenabled keyboard preset 1

I then rebound clutch to desired button.

Dont accept that as a solution, paying 50 quid per year for reskins full of bugs isnt on. 2 hrs wasted playing QA for codies when I'm sure they make enough money to get their devs to do this.
