@SexyBrigadeiro I have managed to avoid fuel miscalculations by following a few rules when running the race program.
1) I always run the race program with the exact setup I plan to use on the race. If I make any adjustments, like adding downforce, I expect to add fuel.
2) I always run the race program in dry weather. If you run the program in wet conditions, you will likely under estimate since you need to be easier on the throttle in the wet
3) I try to run the race program with medium tires. I haven’t seen much difference between compounds but you never know
4) New to 2022, I run 5 or so laps of free practice and look at the telemetry. Is shows fuel usage on each lap. Mine is usually consistent and you can extrapolate to double check the projection you are given. It also gives you a good idea of how usage may vary if you push vs. regen on any laps.
I do think they could make this more intuitive, or even add a low fuel mode back in to help with the situation.

@gatorlb
Thanks for the reply and for taking the time to read it all, mate.
What I can say is:
1) I always do and have always done that..
2) I always do and have always done that..
3) I always do and have always done that..
4) I never do and never had to do that.. (I try not to do any extra laps other than the programs laps, so I don't wear my engine parts even more)
The thing is: I'm doing exactly what I've been doing since F1 2019 and it always worked just fine.
Only now, in F1 22, I'm finding some inconsistency on those calculations and values suggested by the game at the race start.
Not exactly a big deal, but it's still weird and a bit annoying that something that used to be so certain and precise now it's a bit too messy most of the time - BUT.. maybe it's just me and something else I'm doing wrong..
Cheers!
