Things that still MUST be fixed, adjusted or improved on F1 22

THINGS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED / ADJUSTED / IMPROVED ON F1 22:
(after patch 1.09)

- 1) AI doesn't seem to be affected by tyre temperature or tyre wear (or to have any tyre wear at all) - same about their fuel.
This is very easy to notice on some key moments of the races, like at the end of their stints (where their grip should be very low due to tyre wear), but that's also where they usually get their fastest laps.. - the player suffers a lot from tyre degradation at these moments, but not the AIs..
Also noticeable, right after their pit stops, or after a Safety Car, when they immediately have great grip and performance, while the player needs about a whole lap to get their tyres up to the ideal temps - when it's a SC in the rain it's even worse, because the players tyres get super cold and even just driving normally is not enough to warm them up, so the player loses all grip (it's literally impossible to keep up with the AIs pace, or even to simply keep the car on track), while the AI can drive and perform just fine..
The logical conclusion here is that the AIs are not affected by tyre temperature and/or they can, somehow, always keep their tyres on the ideal range and that's why they can always perform perfectly and even make their tyres last longer (or perform great laps longer - until the end of each stint) - in any case, this is very unfair and becomes a bigger problem on the long run (races with 25% or more distances)..
EDIT:
By checking the AIs huds (onboard cam) during the replays after the races, we can see their tyre temps are constantly fixed at 92ºC - they start on 70ºC (without a formation lap), but get to 92 at the end of lap 1, while the player sometimes need more than 1 lap to reach the same temps - and the player temps also fluctuate a lot and get higher than those 92 the AIs can keep - the same happens to the AIs and to the players after the pit stops and it's more noticeable when we all get the Hard compound - even harder for the player to warm up, but super easy again for the AIs - and that would explain why and how they can always perform perfectly and also have less wear than the players, even being able to get their best and fastest laps at the end of each stint - this makes it super easy for them to manage their tyre wear and gives them a huge advantage against the players..

- 2) AI is still too aggressive and dumb.
The AIs can literally drive and fight for positions (attack or defend) as if the player car was not there - they literally ignore the player car and can cause all kinds of incidents and crashes and right now, it's pretty much impossible to play the Career modes (regular or MyTeam) without using (a lot of) Flashbacks..
It's super ok for the AIs to be stronger and a bigger challenge when fighting for positions, but it's not ok for them to be completely dirty and unfair 99% of the time..

- 3) AI still accelerates a lot better than the players (and still has great top speed in moments where they shouldn't).
Playing the game online, on open lobbies against other human players makes it clear that not even most of the best players can have the same perfect acceleration the AIs do. The AIs can still accelerate out of all kinds of corners a lot better than the players, although this is more noticeable out of the slower corners (also maybe because they AIs always have their tyres on the ideal temps and/or because they don't seem to have as much tyre wear than the players - or any wear at all) - the fact is that the AIs always have perfect traction out of all types of corners..
Also, their race starts are always perfect and it would be cool (and more realistic) if some/all AIs could, sometimes, randomly struggle a bit to get the perfect traction during the race starts (as humans do - even the professional drivers)..
Also, the AI can still pretty much match the player top speed even on situations where they shouldn't, like for example when the player has DRS open and/or is using the overtake button and/or is getting the slipstream from an AI in front - the AIs can still have an amazing top speed, enough to attack or defend a place, even if the player has the best engine (and most developed Power Unit department) - which doesn't make any sense and it's just another completely unfair thing to the players..
The AI actually seem to respond to the player's input on the controls, so no matter what the player does, the AI will always respond right away with something similar, even if the game physics wouldn't allow them to do it - if the player accelerates better or earlier from a corner, the AI will do the same.. if the player can reach a pretty high top speed using DRS + overtake button + slipstream, the AI will somehow respond with something similar even if they don't have DRS, or overtake button or slipstream - I'm sorry to say this, but playing against the AIs right now feels exactly like playing against cheaters - the AIs can simply break the rules and the game's laws of physics whenever it's convenient to them, while the player is naturally bound to these rules & laws - which the AIs should be as well (but they're not)..

- 4) [FIXED - ?!..] Auto gears wearing the engine parts too much.
The issue seems to be caused by how late some of the gears change and it's keeping the revs (and engine parts wear) too high..

- 5) No 2nd set of Medium tyres for the races.
And there is also not an option to select or at least redistribute the available tyre sets (compounds) for each session during a race weekend - this reduces the total number of different strategies that the player (or even the AIs) could use during a race - we should have the option(s) just mentioned..

- 6) [FIXED - ?!..] Race fuel calculation is rarely correct, even when the player manually does the Race Strategy program.
Even after developing the car - which should reduce the total amount of fuel the player needs to complete a race - the calculations rarely give the player the perfect right amount - most of the time the player has to guess that total amount and how many extra laps of fuel they're gonna need - sometimes the player ends up racing with a heavier car, or they are forced to save fuel near the end of the race..
That's the whole point of doing the Race Pace programs (to calculate fuel usage, total fuel for the race, tyre wear and the best tyres/pit stop strategies for the race) and these calculations used to be perfect or at least very precise until F1 2021..

- 7) Weather forecast is rarely correct/precise, even when we select it to be Perfect.
This can happen at any session, from Free Practice to Race and sometimes the game icons are showing that rain will come (or the rain will stop) on X-minutes and then X-minutes come and what was predicted is just not what actually happens - this should not occur when you select the forecast to be Perfect (instead of Approximate)..
The forecast was always 100% accurate on F1 2021 if you set it to Perfect..

- 8) On online lobbies, sometimes the entire lobby gets stuck because of one or more people stuck on a forever loading.
The game should have an automatic kick system to kick the players who just can't get their games to load into the server after a certain amount of seconds (30 or 60, for example) and if they can't load, the game should automatically kick them and let the rest of the server move on..
Sometimes the lobby gets stuck to a point where the players have no other option than to restart their games - sadly, there's no option to press ESC and/or to leave that black loading screen either (needless to say we should have that option at least, right?!)..

- 9) On online lobbies sometimes there are players who just stand still on the starting grid for the entire event.
This is problematic by at least 3 things: I) they always cause a local yellow (preventing overtakes on the main straight) and sometimes even a Safety Car.. II) they're filling up a spot without actually racing, that another player could be using to actually race.. III) they keep the whole lobby stuck after each race, because everybody has to wait the 2 mins countdown to end (usually we just wait until the last car on the leader's lap crosses the finish line), because they're simply not moving at all, so they obviously won't ever cross the finish line..
This issue has been happening a lot in pretty much every lobby at some point and there should be a way to avoid this, like for example, kicking players for inactivity after a certain time (30 or 60 secs without moving) and/or letting the AIs take control of the player's car after the same amount of time for inactivity as well..

- 10) [FIXED] Victory Radio Call audios are not playing for some people.
In my particular case, I play the game on a PC, through Steam and it's the Champions Edition - these audios were playing just fine when the game was released (june 28th, 2022), but they stopped playing after the very first patch released after the game launch. I already made a Files Integrity Check and even actually uninstalled and reinstalled the game from scratch, but, patch after patch, that particular type of audio is still just not playing at all - all the other audio and sounds in the game are playing just fine though..

- 11) [FIXED] OSD Customization option disappearing from the menu.
It happened to me right after using it during FP1 on Bahrain (MyTeam, Season 1, Round 1) and now I'm currently in the middle of Season 3 and I never had that option again - the option IS available normally though on any other game mode - it only happened on MyTeam for me..

- 12) Abu Dhabi loading screens still show the old track (until 2020) layout.
Those pics were literally copied/pasted from the previous game (as so many other things on F1 22 - just sayin'..), but the track layout changed, so they need to be updated - very easy to notice that, even without eagle eyes, not only because the pics are literally the same, but also because on the new/current track layout the hotel section is now wider and the corners are less tight..

- 13) Game loading and background screens could be different depending on the version of the game the player has (regular or Champions Edition)
That would be a nice little touch, huh?!.. Oh, come on?!..

- 14) Mouse support for the menus (and for the game in general) for people playing it on a PC.
This should be in these games for like forever now - still can't understand why it's not - navigating using the wheel buttons or the F5-F8 keys is a pain in the butt..

- 15) New tracks added to the game should be allowed into custom seasons calendars on career modes (regular & MyTeam).

This is clearly one of the main uses the players want to give to these new tracks - yes, it's great to do time trials, online and GP races on them, but the best thing is to be able to add them to custom seasons of 10 or 16 rounds - at least from Season 2 on (after Season 1)..

I also understand that getting the licenses to use some of them can be more complex than we think, but I honestly hope you guys can add some of the 'old' tracks that the Codies F1 series used to have in the past, like Sepang, Nurburgring or Turkey, to name a few (the last two were even used in real life recently, for example)..

- 16) Better support, optimization and options for VR.

I myself don't have/use VR, BUT.. I read - everywhere - about people being unhappy with how it is in the game right now and it clearly needs some fixes, or at least adjustments and improvements - even if the number of people trying to play this game in VR is not big, it's just fair that you guys take care of these issues, simply because the people with this equipment bought this game mainly because of this particular feature and it's obviously extremely frustrating when this single aspect of the game just doesn't work properly for them - not to mention it really looks bad for the company to sell this game with VR being one of the strongest advertising points and then the feature is just not good enough..

- 17) AI always getting the fastest laps at the end of the race, going up to 2 secs faster than the rest of the stint (even having, theoretically very worn tyres).

This issue is probably also related to the issue #1 in this list (how they keep their tyre temps always on 92, giving them perfect grip and minimal wear throughout their stints), but it's also clearly coded to happen like that - they use all their remaining ERS on those laps - which would be "ok", but it doesn't feel 'organic' or 'natural' (feels more like they're cheating), especially because of how much lap time they're able to gain by doing just that, even on dead tyres - they shouldn't gain up to 2 secs compared to what they did through the rest of the stint..

- 18) AI always get up to 2 secs faster on Quali sessions.

This has been happening since F1 2020, to be honest and I honestly belive it has to do with the fact that until F1 2019, the players (just like the drivers in real life) could use that 'Party Mode' during Qualify, which would help to deliver all possible power to get a 'super lap' - maximum Fuel Mix and maximum ERS deploy.

The rule was removed in real life for 2020 and also in the game, but oly for the players, it seems.. since then, the AIs can still get up to 2 secs faster on Quali compared to their fastest laps on the Free Practice sessions, while the player just can't do the same - needless to say this also needs fixing or at least some adjustment to reduce their super pace we just can't match..

- 19) Rev lights are still not working on the Logitech G29 wheel.

And this was mentioned as solved on patch 1.06, I guess, but.. well, it's just NOT solved yet..

...

I think this is all I have for now, but if there's anything missing, please feel free to leave a comment below (and any other constructive ideas).
