Funny thing is, the laptop in the team garage before starting a session has the new allocation, but the set up screen in the pits during a session has the old allocation. Confused the heck out of me, but I think you've just cleared it up for me!

Calm down, friends.. here's how it works:

- gladystonff933 years agoRising AdventurerIt didn't work for me in an existing career. The weekend after the update, the hardest tyres, hard tire for Q1, and medium tire for Q2 were defined.

I tend to believe it would take effect only at the start of a new season, OR MAYBE at the start of a new race weekend..READ THE POST BELOW:

Ok, now I can CONFIRM that the TYRES ALLOCATION option is NOT available for Australia.
It was ok and just fine for Bahrain, but I had NO options to choose before going to the race weekend at Melbourne.
The game only gave me this option:
This option happens to be the HARDER one, as explained here:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/F1-22-Patch-1-15-Discussion-Thread/m-p/12003711#M16446And this is also the option I picked for Bahrain, so.. I wonder if we can only choose the tyres allocation for the 1st race and that 'locks' them for the WHOLE SEASON..
If so, this is bad and needs to be fixed - we should be able to pick different tyres allocations, depending on what track we're racing, right?
And if this was on purpose, then I don't think it was a good idea..
In a way or the other, it looks to me we NEED a fix/hotfix for this, because it's also causing some other crazy bugs (several DSQ for some AIs and players), although I didn't have them myself yet.
I also need to see what's gonna happen on my next race (after AUS) and be sure if this is a problem that happens only in Australia, or if it's happening on all other tracks after Bahrain..

Ok, just to inform/confirm that now I reached my 3rd race in the season (in my case, it's China) and I still do NOT have the option to pick a different Tyre Allocation - I only had it in Bahrain (1st race of the season) and I picked the HARDER Tyre Allocation option and then I was 'stuck' with it in Australia and then again now in China.
Conclusions:
- You can only choose between different tyre allocations at the first race of the season.
- You get stuck with whichever option you chose for the rest of the entire season.
- Don't know if this was made by accident or design.
Either way, the way it is right now makes it pretty much pointless if we can't choose different tyre allocations for each race and it also ruins an entire season if you make a 'bad' decision for that first race - hopefully we can get a fix for this in the next patch..

Same problem here. Can‘t change tyre allocations. Am stuck with hard and medium compound for qualifying. This needs to be fixed asap.
