I see so many irrelevant posts in the midst of all the issues and it makes it look like it's just people moaning which is devaluing the valid complaints.A lot of people use the word careless "UNPLAYABLE"....the AI is too fast so it makes it unplayable? Am spinning its unplayable??? People are even asking to go back to the previous version???My friend boots up and the game crashes, we do a few laps the game crashes...That's what you'd call "UNPLAYABLE".There's a whole load of bugs in this game and the previous history shows EA and CM have a record of this but angry posts or posts with no explanations or substance make the Devs look good and we're just moaning.In my experience its always easier to blame the tools than adapt and carry on in the meantime.

I'm not denying that many people are dealing with game-breaking issues regarding peripherals or stability, but my friend and I (he's a HUGELY talented sim racer, I'm casual) race together all the time, and we just turned down the AI difficulty and dealt with other issues such as excessive engine wear. Not ideal and they really should be fixed eventually, but in our experience, a lot of what people are calling unplayable seems overblown.If you actually cannot play the game, this comment is not at all directed towards you.

The one that gets me the most is players completely unwilling to drop the difficulty and instead blame a "broken" game, despite it being repeatedly stated the AI is much faster this year. @PBR3491 This isn't what I'm experiencing, I've been playing at 95 since 2016, had to drop it to 65 this year and it feels balanced. Able to overtake using ERS and DRS (driving a Williams) and I've had some terrific battles with Albon and Stroll.This is in Driver Career mode, I've seen people refer to the straight-line thing as "the MyTeam bug", so perhaps the MyTeam car is really draggy. Perhaps it'll improve with car development. Remember the 2017 McLaren? Could be the same situation.

Just to clarify, though, I'm not getting at people with legitimate issues - I completely understand that and I know how it feels to spend a ton of cash that hasn't lasted a month's worth of enjoyment. I was referring to the small portion of people who scream like children and won't try anything to work around something out of stubbornness or denial that perhaps they need to admit that the game is harder this year and have to compromise.While I previously stated that I had dropped to 65 and had good battles, overall I am still really unhappy with the game and stopped playing it yesterday. I've done a lot of bug reporting (sadly including bugs that existed for F1 2021, I reported them on the old forum and obviously they were ignored - proper reports, by the way, not just a paragraph with a whine), but there's just so many bugs that keep popping up that I've given up. It's overwhelming. There is too much wrong with the game, little things here and there, adding up and making the whole experience unpleasant. Unenjoyable, yes and, to contradict what I previously said, perhaps unplayable too. You can't play it because you can't enjoy it. I get it.And worse still that while I'm lucky enough to have the game on PC and therefore have the ability to mod, some of the bugs just cannot be fixed by modding due to Codemasters closing the more important files off some years ago. If this was F1 2012, on top of it having dynamic localized weather, which I loved, the entire game was moddable. Right down to the chances of each driver making mistakes.I might just go back to that one, to be honest.

@Smag-12 You clearly have no issue launching the game and playing the game or you wouldn't notice the handling or the odd bug.So the game is playable.

Come on. There are loads of posts of people saying it's unplayable because they spin or can't overtake or think the AI is too fast or can't keep their tyre temps and wear on check while blindly following youtube setups from good "drivers".

Having your peripheral of choice not working is clearly on a different level.

All am saying is someone who's game crashes continusly , wheel or controller not working is what i would describe as unplayable.... While theres loads who spin or cant overtake there are loads who can.

When i first got the game i couldnt even move the car without spinng... Should i go straight to the forum and start screaming?

Am not saying the AI or other issues are not important.. the game has soo many ...but when the word unplayable is used for every issue it invalidates the word.

Its clear that these "unplayable" posts are not about gamers being toooooo slow! Maybe some of them are crying..okay... you have that everywhere but we should not be sitting here in this forum and re-discuss bugs from last years .. + additional bugs in this years game. Thats why its UNPLAYABLE. In every F****** mode we have a bugfest and in addition to that they change the handling etc. which could be okay but I also enjoyed 1.05 more than 1.06. But this still isn´t a big issue for me cause I think most of us can adapt to such changes.
I have to repeat - I don´t think its about the handling or gameplay itself... Its mostly about the AI and all the crashes, bugs (old + new) and even interface problems like sector times are worse than in last years game.. This BETA TEST VERSION we are playing at the moment should have been handed out 1 month earlier to a big group of players from different types of standpoints (casuals, streamers, etc.. whatever, esports, professionals and so on) and then the can take one month more to work on the bugs - or maybe they should play career, myteam 2 player career etc themselves for one or two season --> I can´t imagine you can overlook these problems as developer if you play the game... COME ON .. stop it... you must be very low average intelligence to overlook this stuff...Mate, everyone of us could do this testing for them and send them 1 report with all necessary changes and the game would be better...its just playing the game...
EA + CM would receive tons of appreciation for this, the community would be more appreciative and cooperative to improve the game after release. But as repeatedly discussed in x - amount of topics this is UNACCEPTABLE and therefore UNPLAYABLE - its not about the handling itself --> everyone can get used to it - i think we are on the same page with this. But all the other problems have to be solved --> THEY DONT NEED THESE BUG REPORTS - THEY HAVE THE MOST BUGS FROM LAST YEAR
And i don´t care if its EA or CM or whoever... this was a very huge move to insert supercars and microtransactions and at the same moment you have a decline of quality and playability in offline game modes..

People are just using wrong semantics. Unplayable is the wrong term here because the game is playable. You are driving, you play, playable. Easy.
Thats not the issue here. People dont enjoy the state the game is in right now and say it is not playable.
Whats the point discussing this?
