Just post a screenshot of your interface so that I can see what sort of data you can visualize - and their formats. Or just tell me the app you're using, but that will have me google searching for images of its interface anyway 🙃
Do you have a routine or protocol already for creating setups? I mean your routine: what you set up first, what you look for on your first stint, etc.
Method is just as important as data here. No use adjusting differentials before nailing your wings.
It may take me a few hours to get back to your properly, busy day in the office today. But you've got me hooked already 💕

Hey @mariohomoh
Apologies for the delay in responding - have been sidelined with Coronavirus 😩
Got some screen shots for you regarding SRT.
The app offers data on the overall session and individual laps. The data points available are below, and for either the session or individual lap you can select from the parameters below.
The app is broken down into the following sections;
Charts - available for both session and lap; where you can get data point values for the session or lap. If analysing a single lap, sometimes it groups things together, like surface temps for all 4 tyres. If comparing with another lap, it’ll split them back out again. You can get a data point at any point in the lap, drill down etc.
Stats - available for both session and lap; good for looking at overall things - avg throttle for example
Track - available for lap data only; can zoom into certain parts to analyse single lap/ compare with other laps high level data points like throttle, steering, racing lines etc
Table - available for lap data only; full list of data points to analyse single lap/ compare with other lap for a specific point in the lap

@Monzstar83My head hurts.
I only joke I don’t mock. As I struggle more than most with racing games compared to most sim racers. Because I’m used to my backside telling me what’s going on with a car. Most cars you get feedback through steering wheel. But most road cars are very vague. Compared to sim wheel. I’m not a racing driver: But the most similar thing irl and sim for me is look as far as you can up road/track.,
So unless you have a state of the art sim that shakes your bum. But even then it won’t truly translate the g-forces so I imagine a telemetry tool can help better understand what’s going on with your car.glad your better dude. Covid is t so bad now. Had it. Just before Christmas. Worst thing was losing sense of taste and smell over Christmas so couldn’t taste my sister’s awesome dinner she made😡
Whereas during lockdown I lost my mum to it 😡😔

@ScarDuck14 its been a week and am just much better this last day. 2nd time I’ve had it and it was worse this time for me. Slowly on the mend. Sorry to hear about your mum as well dude 😔
With the telemetry it’s just another angle for me to potentially eke out a bit more enjoyment from 22. I don’t want to go OTT with it (as I’m a bit obsessive once I latch onto something - hence the sim racing lol), it is interesting to compare laps etc. I’m slowly getting more into the data points and understanding what I need to change with setups/ driving inputs and racing lines etc, but it is so vast and overwhelming.
One thing it has made clear to me is my braking is a bit lumpy whereas I thought it was pretty smooth - I think I need to stabilise my pedals somehow - am using LC’s which are pretty well secured to my playseat, but I think I’m getting some travel in the carpet underneath. I’ve just gotten a DD which is much better with the FFB than my belt driven base from before and it has helped with speed and consistency given the more detailed feeling.
- BadMayh3m3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Monzstar83 There are many different Playseats available.
I've seen vids where the light weight one can flex in the middle.
Have someone record you braking from a side view without the game on.
Should be obvious any issues.
Glad your fine! Had it in March and took 3 weeks for the cough to go away.

Hey Monzie, long time no see mate.
Been following this thread and my question is: can we translate all this data into the somewhat limited setup options in F1?
Please don't get mo wrong - all this data is truly beautiful and I love data - but can we make something really useful out of it in F1 games?
Bet the chances are higher in ACC or iRacing.

Hey @dancrodrigues hope you’re good too mate - good to be back 👍🏽
It’s a good point you make. I guess it’s a case of understanding what the data shows and I’m pretty sure even with the limited options there will be things you feel/notice that can be observed in the data that can then be corrected by some combination of setup changes - see my example below.
There’s a lot of data points so I’d love to understand it to see if there are some setup changes I could make - my main barrier is knowing the data points and then knowing what setup things relate to them.
That being said, I’m happy with pretty much all my track specific setups that I’ve developed from a “feel” perspective. But having said that, I haven’t taken this to the extreme, I just find something I’m fairly comfortable with and go. But I have, for example, set camber a click either side of my setting the feeling is pretty much the same, so maybe I’ll see something in the data to make that decision, as maybe there is something to be gained, if you understand what I mean.
Example; I have noticed is when the tyres get toward the end of the stint and Jeff comes on saying “you might experience grip loss” - I know I’m going to start to lose rear grip, so I increase the diff and it stabilises it a bit. I’m yet to look if I can see that in the data (not sure where to look, maybe in wheel speed or something) but if I could back up what I feel with data - that’d be pretty cool.

My criterion is: is it fun? From what I've read from your post you're having a real fun with it so ok, go full throttle for it!
Myself I have a problem when I fall into certain rabbit holes in which I start to gather data and create unnecessary procedures and the fun is lost. So it's a balance I always try to do to avoid this - sometimes my wife comes to me and say: remember it's a game, it's supposed to be light and fun. She's 100% right.
For instance, right now I'm doing a "real career" playing one season from each F1 game I have (starting 2019). At the moment I'm stuck 'cause I got bored after starting this thrice, and playing 100% race in Australia 3 times after an infinite loop of unncessary refinements. So it happened again, gonna get some weeks playing other thing to clean my mind haha
