My criterion is: is it fun? From what I've read from your post you're having a real fun with it so ok, go full throttle for it!Myself I have a problem when I fall into certain rabbit holes in which I start to gather data and create unnecessary procedures and the fun is lost. So it's a balance I always try to do to avoid this - sometimes my wife comes to me and say: remember it's a game, it's supposed to be light and fun. She's 100% right.
For instance, right now I'm doing a "real career" playing one season from each F1 game I have (starting 2019). At the moment I'm stuck 'cause I got bored after starting this thrice, and playing 100% race in Australia 3 times after an infinite loop of unncessary refinements. So it happened again, gonna get some weeks playing other thing to clean my mind haha
@dancrodrigues I know exactly what you mean - I’m similar to you. It’s initially a good learning experience and fun. Then you understand it a bit more and then in trying to maximise “the edge” it’s less so, bordering on obsession.
Same thing happened when I started tracking all my sessions and data to try and figure out what the game is doing with my suspicions of it cheating when “out of position” (I forgot to send you my sheet btw - will do that when back towards the end of the week if you still want it).
Added into this is my sneaking suspicion now that the game randomly makes things happens regarding handling and grip, which then nullifies to some extent any improvements you could make through understanding the data and modifying setup…
