Hey guys,

Running patch 1.06. All drivers and everything up to date.

  • 3080Ti
  • Ryzen 9 5950x
  • 32gb ram
  • Win11
  • Using wheel - T-GT2 with SF1000 wheel.

I've tried lowering all of my settings, game window is running smallest resolution, tried turning off DLSS, lowered texture streaming as low as possible, closed as many background apps as I could, etc. FPS is fine, just crashes.

I can manage about 18 laps or so using the oculus headset but I crashed yet again. I can't finish a single race. I used flashback once, and in that same lap steamVR crashed. The game itself used to crash before patch 1.06 but now the game stays up and SteamVR is the one going down. Happens in all game modes.

Any suggestions?

    @Mr_Pregnant_3D

A couple of things to try:

There is a brand new Studio Driver set you should use:

    https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/191054/en-us/

Disabling DLSS via your nvidia control panel should be tried.

A couple more generic troubleshooting steps:

    Thanks.

I'll try this all now. Will report back if successful.

    Thank you!

Accepted as solution. Worked. No crashing but performance took a hit. I did have some curopt files I guess so I'll try with game ready drivers again but if that doesn't work I'll stick with studio.

  • @Mr_Pregnant_3D Exactly the same with me. Difference is: it is also exactly the same with patch 1.09. I tried everything, but it keeps on happening.
Problem is I do not know where to look: is it Steam VR, is it Quest 2, is it Oculus app, is it F1 22, is it the combination? I hope this will be better soon, the game is fantastic but the crashes are horrible!
  • I've allready done everything, but the error kips going on:
    ¨Access violation at address 0x3a7753a9 in module 'dirtrally2.exe' + 0xb953a9.
    dirtrally2.exe ¨
