Vsync problem on pc

Hello

I have problem with f1 22. Few days ago a changed my gpu from gtx 1050 ti to rtx 2070 super. The game sets max settings which is good but i have one problem. That's framerate. When i turn on vsync game doesn't stay at 60 frames. For example race starts framerate goes for some reason above 60 frames which causes not smooth screen. When other drivers are gone framerate goes back to 60 frames and it does that every time. I tried capping frames but then i have screen tearing. Nvidia panel control doesn't help. Other games work without any problems. I didn't had this kind of issue on gtx 1050 ti. For me it's hard to understand how with vsync enabled frames go above 60. I tried adaptive vsync in nvidia control panel but it's still behave in the same way. Also it's not problem with monitor because other games work fine with vsync enabled. Also i used DDU before i instaled new gpu.

My setup:

Rtx 2070 super

I5 9600 kf

16gb ram ddr4

All drivers are up to date.

    @J11Brody

    V-Sync does not cap the framerate, it just prevents screen tearing.

    Maybe look into G-Sync compatibility in relation to framerate smoothness.

    Thanks.

  • Well  if vsync prevents screen tearing then it's not working as it should. I have 60hz monitor so when vsync is enabled it should stay always at 60. And there shoudnt be any screen tearing. So even it not locks framerate i still have screen tearing. So in conclusion vsync it's not working as it should by what you said.
