Yes, I can see that. You are a volunteer. A company that spent billions acquiring CodeMasters doesn't offer to pay you for your service, getting harassed by the likes of me?

I, after this unanswered response from our volunteer EA employee, will not waste my time with this company anymore, does EA think it's right to sell a game at full price and make an abandoned and incomplete game available to subscribers? F1 is now bugs and soap opera that started in 2021 breaking point? You took over Codmasters and you're already destroying a franchise I've been playing since 2010, where are the classic cars? breaking point is better right? story with chapters and a career mode obsolete since 2019. Goodbye EA!

@ScarDuck14 @Executioner0 No point in harassing this guy. He's trying to help us get a reply from EA which we haven't had yet from anyone. Of course he has no control on what they do but he has some communication with them so if he can help, lets not be hasty. Our problem is with stupid EA franchise taking over.

They SCHOULD (EA) add for "F1 2019" AND "F1 2022" Weekly Warrior Events/Trophy,

Just the SAME EVENT, over AND over.... Till they close the servers COMPLETLY in 5 or even 10 years and MORE...

@brickz89It’s all good. I completely get everyones frustration. Main reason I accepted become a ‘Champion’ was so I could directly express our frustrations with EA. Some things they have listened and done things to improve. Others they havnt.

@ScarDuck14 Thanks, it is very much appreciated. In your experience is this something you think either EA or Codemasters will actually resolve? E.g have they done anything similar before. I am just hoping that this can get flagged to the relevant dev team and resolved with minimal effort.

However It does seem very wrong to just remove the weekly events on the day F1 23 came out without warning they would be stopped, and I’m hoping it is an oversight due to shared infrastructure or something rather than it being intentional. Even looking at it from a purely legal point of view this doesn’t seem right they would just stop providing an online service without prior warning and I am wondering if anything like this is covered in the terms and conditions etc.

Do you think you will get a response either way ?

F1 '21 also had Weekly Events, but they weren't tied to a trophy, then for '22 it got a trophy again. I really wish developers and publishers would stop releasing games with trophies that require their staff to update events or keep a web site up (PvZ GW2 is another example), it's almost as if they do it on purpose to force people to get the next instalment, but it's a flawed method that just makes people who like to complete trophy lists get upset with them.

@WaynosDaBossI can’t answer that cause I don’t know. Occasionally though some thing I was sure wasn’t going to be fixed gets fixed.

@ScarDuck14maybe its worth to write a message to EA and state out that about 50 people in this threat are already complaining about it and several others in the technical issues threat.

And i agree to @WaynosDaBoss opinion. This can't be legal. They ripped of some parts of the game without anouncing anything before..

I can't sell a car at full price and rip of the navigation System afterswards...

It is disappointing that this is the latest F1 game available to play on EA play and its had features removed after a year. 

Rather than depreciating features you could at least just create a rolling event that repeats so people can still earn the achievement/trophy. 

In fact is seem that this title was only added to EA play in March. So you only got around a 3 month window to play all parts of the game.

Who makes these decisions?

Will it take time to fix and make this event available? For me, it's like canceling the EA subscription because I can't complete the game 100% ..

@Executioner0I have no idea…. I’m from UK. It’s also the same here. However that only applies to buying something from the UK. When buying a digital download I’m pretty sure you’re buying from a country that laws favour the cooperation rather than the consumer.

That said I do know Australia are about the only country where they have stricter rules about digital download refunds. After taking Sony to task over their no refund policy

In UK you are protected by consumer laws on thing bought within the UK.  But those laws don’t cover buying something from another country as our laws have no power.   Where possible I buy physical copies from a store.  As what is  bought in UK  means I can take the game back and get a refund from store within 21 or 28 days.
