@CHRSuperstar There has been a single instance (and quite recently) of Microsoft taking action and removing a trophy from a game. Sony has never acknowledged any such action to the public.
No one can confirm if it was Microsoft or the developer/publisher that requested removal but it was due to a game being published on game pass with an already unobtainable.
This is one of the good things about closed gaming system such as consoles. They are now moving into subscription based storefronts such as gamepass and extra/premium etc.
Why is this good? Well its only going to expand further and VALVe already set the precedence with skimming these publishers for using their closed system. What it means in the long run is that not only will Sony/MS/Nintendo/Valve have consumers over the knee...they will also have the publishers over the knee.
You think MS is going to let EA mess with their profits with "ya it broken soz" replies. They can get away with it with consumers of a relatively small(quiet) player base game....not so much with a boardroom full of dudes with 5 mortgages and a yacht to pay off. An example of what will happen is the trophy I mentioned above.
There's always a bigger fish (or boardroom).
