Note the pictures below and the highlighted box’s in green and the white banners in the the pictures where one says pit message and the other grid box indicator…I think you’ll find Two separate elements which can both be set to either hidden or appeat
hang on just for you I’ll post another picture with the turn in box set to hidden and you’ll note it’s now red as it will no longer appear when pitting. But you can also see the picture grid box indicator is still outlined in green which means when in pit lane that will still show up. Just as the Person with the issue has shown in his picture

I'm still wondering if it's because the button isn't one on the primary controller. There's another thread on the same topic that I see has been bumped today, suggesting the relevant button bind is the accept/advance one. What do you currently have set for this? If it's not a button on your wheel it might be worth trying to make it one and see if it makes a difference.
