Why there's no red light flashing
I know it's a nitpick but why there's no red lights flashing on the back of the cars during the race, it's flashing during the qualifying but not during the race which I find unrealistic.

I have made various topics on this very problem but no one seems to care or know the answer., They do seem to work in Qualifying (sometimes) but not during a race.

If the issue being raised here applies to situations other than the formation lap it would be good if people could share exact details.
I think in game the ERS light flashes once the ERS charge is below a certain level, possibly 10%. So whether you see this is not will depend on if surrounding cars are at this level. I've not got time to test this right now but it would be easy enough to do with your own car using the following TV camera view.

I don't think it's nitpicking at all. Its something that happens with F1 cars when charging and it's something that should happen in game. Problem is it's something that has rarely worked properly the last several F1 games.

As per my post above I think we need to be careful to specify when the lights don't flash. It's not that they never do, for example (should start just before Bari's light flashes):

They seem to be working perfectly well in F1 2021? So as stated in race, lights will flash when ERS battery is under 10% capacity and it will also flash when the ERS usage limit for that for that lap has been reached.
From my experience, when racing AI they blast through their ERS in the first two laps, so you'll see the flashing lights before the finish line on fast tracks where there are long straights such as Imola. The AI will then use it sparingly for the rest of the race and will not deploy it in the same manner we do to attack and defend. This will last until the last two laps, where they blast through it again. I always see flashing lights when I race
