Having the exact same issue as the others. Spent days uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works. Lame
Same here.
Very good PC with specs that can definitely run the game without any issues, no overclocking applied!
Every time I try to launch the game (with/via Origin) the following happens:
Game starts up, selection screen (regular or VR) appears, I confirm regular --> black screen appears for a few seconds --> Game crashes without an error message.
I followed all suggestions that I could find online, installed and re-installed the game several times, verified file integrity multiple times, re-installed Origin, went from most recent Nvidia drivers to older drivers and back to the most recent one (via DDU), etc pp.
Nothing worked, so I just wasted valuable hours of my life trying to fix things on my end where there is nothing to fix.
Codemasters, please do something to fix the underlying issues and flaws or at least please give us a proper indication of what might be causing the issues with your game so that we can try to find a workaround.

To add to my earlier comment:
- All overlays are disbled
- I did a clean boot
- tried several BIOS settings with and without overclocking
- tried to run the game via a newly generated Windows admin user
- deleted the hardware xml-files from the my documents folder
- edited the hardware xml-files from the my documents folder
NOTHING works. Still having the same issue.
Also, my DxDiag shows that there is a problem detected with the App: F1_22.exe --> AppHang.
Going into further logs that I could find, it says:
Problem Event Name: apphangxprocb1; Hang Signature dbd3
f1_22.exe: "A problem caused this program to stop interacting with windows"
Codemasters, please help!

Another day and still no reply from EA or Codemasters.
I am impressed by this great customer service quality!

Hey, @sleepaholic @lenoxwake @timtam4221 @egzq3daprw59 Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?
Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

@EA_Atic Please find my DxDiag attached.
One observation I made when looking at other people's DxDiags in this forum:
It seems that - not always but in the majority of cases - people report issues while having an AMD Ryzen processor and a Nvidia Graphics Card.
Could you please give us some insight why your game seems to have issues with this combination of hardware and what might be a workaround that the affected user base can put into place? Maybe there is a certain BIOS setting or a specific driver that is incompatible with your requirements? Anything that offers more help than the plain default reply would be highly appreciated.
In the end I do not want to sit here blaming anybody and troubleshooting the issues but much rather have fun playing the game.
In the hopes of a quick and helpful response, your fellow racer.

I was experiencing the same issues, I followed al the recommendations from @sleepaholic and the ones on the below link by @EA_Leeuw and my F1 22 is now running.
My PC is Ryzen 9 7900 Nvidia 4070 32GB 2GB Nve
Steps:
-Update all my drives, Chipset, AMD, WiFi Etc.
-Disabled any running program or unnecessary background process. (Steam, Xbox, Armory, etc)
-Turn off Bluetooth
-Installed Nvidia drivers 528.49
-Set PhysX to GPU on Nvidia control panel.
-Repaired the game in EA App
-Reset the game in EA.
-Set EA App to run as Admin, only but not F122.
Steps in detail:
Solved: PC Black screen on launch of game - Answer HQ (ea.com)
My previous errors: F1 not showing cars or racetrack, F1 blank screen, F1 not launching.
Next challange, go VR.

Good work but you should never need to run apps elevated, unless it is a bug (KI). (Yes, *you* Intel.)
