Yes, the best would be to allow player’s choice like IRL, I would love that, each track is different and tyres should be managed as a compromise between Quali and Race.
Or to keep it simple for casual players introduce a new toggle: “tyre choice” yes/no

this would be the best solution.
Have a toggle to give casual players maybe 2 options to choose from
for advanced players full control of the tyre choice and which tyres to return based on the current rules (locked soft tyre for Q3.. etc)
