Someone else noticed that disabling Steam controller stuff in the Steam client (even if, like me, you have the game on Origin) seems to fix a multitude of issues with triggers. For instance, mine still didn't vibrate even after todays patch, until I followed this other persons advice and disabled Steam Controller Compatibility in the Steam client. After that, no more issues.
