Can't log into EA servers, F1 23, Steam Purchase

Summarize your bug Try to log in to EA servers in game, keeps telling me EA account required "retry/cancel" My steam account is linked to my EA account. EA app is running, everything is logged in. What is going on? I have seen a few posts about this on steam community page for f1 23, other people having the exact same problem as me.

What happens when the bug occurs? I can't connect to EA online services to use ANY of the multiplayer functions.
What do you expect to see? A working game.
Purchased on steam, EA account linked to steam. Troubleshot through EA help website, no resolution just "we'll submit a bug report" but I can't connect to online services. it's not a firewall issue, I disabled my fire wall. SOMETHING is not working on EAs side. The app isn't showing any steam friends even though I have my account linked.
I don't know WHAT is going on, but I followed all of EAs instructions to link my account. Pretty crummy experience for such an expensive game.
Hi, this problem happened to me yesterday. I solved it by deleting the Documents/MyGames/F1 23 folder. You don't loose your progress but your audio, graphics... settings will be deleted. It seems to be a bug when you start the game and you close it fast (at least this is what happened to me). I hope you solve the problem 🙂
