I had the same problem. I thought I was going to recieve a player picks reward because thats what was said, however, I recieved a pack instead.
In the PNG provided, my reward at the bottom translates to "Promotional Player Pick." But obviously, thats not what I recieved.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I was led here by an advisor from EA help chat who told me to report the bug here in order to recieve in game compensation. Bug has since been fixed
What happens when the bug occurs? Unable to confirm player and locked on player pick screen.
What should be happening instead? Being able to confirm player pick
I made the player pick 88+ also in Swedish, (My mother tongue) and was shocked I had no player pick but just received a player in itself!
I finished the SBC and it said that we would get a player pick. Language, Swedish. Unfortunately I just received a player but got no pick!
