Can't change starting squads after transfering players

Hi, after a couple of hours trying to understand what makes the game crash I think I have found it. So when you transfer the team captain to another club that's when this fn game can't give the captaincy to another player of the team and I think that's what makes the game crash.

Another thing is when you transfer a player with a specific role in the team (for example: penalty taker) that's when the game bugs and doesn't allow you to make changes in the formation (if you look you can see the player that was transfered is still the penalty taker) that's when you have to import another's team formation and that allows you to change the formation and switching players. 

Hope you find it helpful and I really hope I just did EA job and found what makes the game crash. Sorry if my English isn't the best

Guys I finally found the soultion. As NC88CARP mentioned, the issue is coming when one of your players has a role (for example team's captain) and you transfer him to another team before changing the role. The quick solution is to go to team managment in the setting and import another team's sheet to your team's sheet. for example if you taking Arsenal and you already  transferd Saka to another team, which is your penalty taker, import another team's sheet such as Man United. In this case, it remanage Arsenal with available players and the issue will disappear. 

I have the same problem they need to fix it ASAP 😕

The suggestion of importing another Team's sheet worked for me. I think the root of the bug is when you have a player with an assigned role who is not in the starting line-up.  When I tried any number of things when that was the case it always failed (e.g. I tried to either change line-up or change an assignment).

How I got the workaround to work ... 

* open the formation of a random team (I used England League two Accrington)
* change it to the formation that I wanted my new team to be in

* imported the team sheet to the new team (I used Man City and called the new sheet "Accrington Default")

* checked assignments to make sure that only players in the staring XI were listed

* tested to see if I could switch assignments within the starting XI (e.g. make make Silva the penalty taker instead of Harland)

* tested to see if I could change the starting XI (e.g. bench Grealish and start Doku)

* tested to see if I could transfer a player in from another team (e.g. add Vini Jr)
* tested to see if I could add the transfer player to the starting XI (e.g. bench Halland and start Vini Jr)

That should solve the bug. But now i find that all the changes does not save after i close the app. What a * game and company, 4 months and they are not able to fix a bug
