Career mode - Striker only plays in centre back

What happens when the bug occurs? every time i play career mode and play highlights of a game, my striker plays in centre back. I dont know why its happeing but its happend every single game ive played since i started career mode on this new fc game. He is in striker and ive changed his role like 5 times now from false 9 to poacher to every single stiker role but still every game he is in centre back and never leaves his own half. I dont understand why its happening or how to fix this.
What should be happening instead? He should be playing in striker not centre back
