EA FC 25 stuck in Jockey

Every time I play EA FC 25, my players randomly seem to stay in jockey mode which makes my players move incredibly slowly compared to my opponent, essentially meaning the game is unplayable as anyone I play against is able to just run past my players without any challenge.

I first noticed this bug on EA FC 24 on the PC, which didn't happen when I first started playing the game. I'm not entirely sure what changed but something clearly has as I'm no longer able to play the game.

This issue now persists on EA FC 25, but this time it's on Xbox ONE. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening and it's incredibly frustrating considering I've just bought the game and I cannot play it.

It's not the controller as I've used various controllers yet the issue still persists.
