Players won’t sprint, they keep stopping and shielding the ball

And the servers are so dead also, can’t play a game without some major lag. This is the only game it happens with online, why does this keep happening? Game has only been out for 2 weeks and I’m tired of it already. What’s the point in playing the game if I can only use the menus - worst $100 ever spent 

Any response on how to fix this would be appreciated. Happens every game. My ping is always 60 because I live in Vietnam and EA don’t have close servers here so you can imagine with the current input delay of the game, online feels unplayable. But even squad battles and career mode is affected by this issue - it’s very frustrating.

The players just walk with the ball and shield it even though I’m pressing RT to sprint. The motion is similar to when you ask your player to shield the ball, but my players will literally stop when through on goal and try to shield the ball again. It’s not an issue with the controller as it is brand new. 

EA please fix!

I have exactly this issue.. it´s unplayable, i´m holding R2 and my player is stuck in one place and shielding the ball instead of sprinting. And it´s not about the R2 button, this thing happens with left stick as well, players refusing to move, just stand in one place and shield the ball as if i´m holding L2, which I don´t. I have around 20 ms every match, so connection shouldn't be an issue. I also tried different DNS servers - no change. I've tried playing at different times and it's the same for both morning and night. I've also tried three different controllers, one of them brand new, and it does it every match with all three.

Did you ever find a resolution? 

Something similar happened with me but I use a pc. I had to buy a new joystick. And it works fine after that. But in the next version, same issue. 

Get a new one or borrow from a friend.
