R1/RB Causes player to become unresponsive when pressing
Infuriating issue that happens when on defense and using R1/RB. When holding the player you are controlling becomes unresponsive and runs in a straight line until the R1/RB button is let go.

I’ve noticed that in fc25 using the player contain button (RB on Xbox) (R1 on PS) I seem to lose control of my player being unable to move them this has happens in all modes I’ve played and don’t know if it’s a known bug or I’m missing something?
I’ve encountered this issue too in all modes. I have my contain set to the B button so I’m somewhat happy to know that it’s the same even if you haven’t changed the buttons.
Platform: Xbox Series X
Here are some Repro steps:
1. Load into any game mode where you have control of the AI.
2. Hold the Contain Button.
3. Observe the User controlled player (Not the AI) lock into moving in one direction for a few seconds. During this time you cannot move that player.
Yes this happens to me too, completely changed the way I play, on all modes
- @Hawksley-Boy-918 It genuinely makes the game unplayable for me and unenjoyable. I doubt they'll fix it anytime soon. I was so excited to get into all the different modes.
have the same problem. being the captain in clubs makes it hard to let your team press while your player walks back into the cabin, takes a shower, drives home and goes to bed

This issue is very weird. Using the contain button just locks your player into whatever direction/motion you were performing which makes playing as a captain that's trying to control ai in Pro Clubs pretty much impossible. You can either have the ai press and go down to 10 men or just let players run through your aiHi,

I kindly ask that you acknowledge this bug report, otherwise I shall create a new report.
This bug effectively causes the game character to be non-functional upon pressing R1 (R1+R2 also) and it is seemingly across all editions, releases, formats. There are at least 4 or 5 corroborated reports with no official reply I can see.
Recreate by simply pressing R1 (contain) in game.
It isn't in the confirmed bugs afaik.
For me it is unplayable currently.

I have this issue, but only in pro clubs and career mode. Any way to fix it? Ea just released an update and they don’t even know there’s a bug. Do they not play their own game?
